ITINERARY:

DAY 1: VISIT BANTEAY SREI. ANGKOR THOM. BAYON TEMPLES. TA PROHM. ANGKOR WAT

A.M: After breakfast we will meet and welcome you with a professional and a friendly DRIVER at your HOTEL then transfer you to visit the Gem of Angkor Temples, Banteay Srei. A Hindu Temple dedicated to Shiva. It is made from stones of a Pinkish hue and has some of the most amazing carvings in all of Angkor.
Then we go to the Ancient Fortified Walled City of Angkor Thom. Passing giant statues of Gods and Demons on both sides of the road we enter through the massive South Gate with its gigantic carved faces.
Inside are the amazing stone faces of the Bayon Temple, The Royal Enclosure, Terrace Of The Leper King and the 350 meters long Terrace Of The Elephants.
From there you go to the stunning Ta Prohm, with huge tree roots bursting through its walls, making it a totally unique other world experience. (Sequences from the movie Lara Croft Tomb Raider were filmed here.)

Enjoy your lunch at local restaurant. (Optional)

P.M: In the afternoon after visiting some smaller Temples, we will arrive at the Jewel in Angkor’s Crown. The jaw dropping Angkor Wat is sheer genius; nothing you have seen in photo’s or on TV can prepare you for its breathtaking majesty. Walk across the sandstone causeway crossing over the moat and into Angkor Wat itself. A truly amazing experience you will never forget. You may even see some young Cambodians getting married there.

Later we will watch the sunset over Angkor Wat. (Optional)

Return to your Hotel for overnight stays.

DAY 2: VISIT THE BEST TEMPLE (BENG MEALEA TEMPLE). THEN KOMPONG PHHLUK (LAKE)

A.M: After breakfast we will meet and welcome you with a professional and a friendly DRIVER at your HOTEL and we head to BENG MEALEA, a very spectacular and mysterious Temple, a really special place with hanging vines and great carvings. This Temple was seen in the 2004 movie Two Brothers.
Next to this Temple is a quarry where the sandstone was cut to build the Temple. The technique used to cut the stone will be explained, and we will explore the entire Temple and site.

Enjoy your lunch at local restaurant. (Optional)

P.M: After lunch make our way to KOMPONG PHHLUK a village of bamboo skyscrapers that rise up out of the TONLE SAP LAKE about 6 to 7 metres high.
You will see pigs, chickens and other animals in floating cages. Flooded Mangrove Forests surround this area and is home to a wide variety of wildlife.

Return to your Hotel.

Optional extra: Early in the evening after you have showered, changed and relaxed you will be taken to enjoy a very Special Khmer Dinner while you watch Traditional Khmer Apsara Dancing. The cost of this delightful extra is just $12 per person.

Then drop you off at the NIGHT MARKETS or back to your Hotel for overnight stay.

During the visit of the Bakan Tower of Angkor Wat Temple
